How might the judiciary be different if judges only served limited terms?

Several-state court judges DO serve limited terms (although the terms tend to be longer than for other elected officials). Judges who serve limited terms are thought to be more politically - or publicly - accountable in their rulings, although perhaps less independent than their life-tenured peers
