In what way do members of the green algae often differ from members of the plant kingdom?

Even though, plants probably evolved from one group of green algal ancestors there are huge differences between them.    

Plants: vascular connective tissue, multicellular organisms, sesile organisms, adapted to land      


Algae: single-celled organisms (or in the colony), often moving via flagella, often aquatic, do not have structures such as roots, and leaves
