How did aristotles inability to detect parallax lead him to propose a geocentric model of the solar system

He found out that parallax could not be discovered for celestial objects that was close to the sun. The wrong idea he had was that he had no idea that celestial objects were from a very far distance and the parallax were way to hard to discover because of how small they were.
