Some blame poor decision-making by teenagers on the frontal lobes being the last area of the brain to fully develop.

The frontal lobes are the last area of the brain to fully develop. This brain region takes up to age 25 develop fully. Poor judgement and decision making in teenagers is sometimes blamed on an undeveloped frontal lobe. This is because the frontal lobes are responsible for judgement, decision making, impulse control, lower irrationality and lower emotional reactivity.
