Write (1-i)-(4-5i) as a complex number in standard form. I don't exactly get how to do this.. Can anyone help?

You just subtract. The standard form of a complex number is a+bi 
1 - 4 = -3
-i - (-5i) = 4i
The answer is -3 + 4i
