Each paper clip is 7\8 of an inch long and costs $0.03. Exactly enough paper clips are laid end to end to have a total length of 56 inches. What is the total cost of these paper clips?

56 inches ÷ [tex] \frac{7}{8} [/tex]

= 56 ÷ .875 = 64 paper clips will be needs (.875 is the same as 7/8)

64 x .03 = $1.92
