Boiling Point. The air is liquefied by placing it under pressure and cooling, very cold. Then it is allowed to warm up and Nitrogen and Oxygen have different boiling temperature (but they are still very cold) and the gas is then collected either O or N which ever you are looking for. 
For O2 it is -182 C 
For N2 it is -195.8 C
