How does human evolution or natural selection relate to the susceptibility of disease like malaria?

Malaria is a disease that caused by parasite that lives and hide in red blood cell. Some disease like G6PD makes your blood cell more vulnerable, thus died more easily. Since the infected red blood cells died faster than normal, the parasite is harder to hide from immune cells. That makes people with G6PD disease is more resistant to malaria.
