I estimate he can make around 12 such bowties, this is based off a year being 3 feet and therefore half a yard is 1 1/2 feet. So 12x 1 1/2=  12 12/2=6+12=18 all the fabric is used up.

Answer:12

Step-by-step explanation: we know that 1yard is 3 feet and the the tricky thing about this that the question is in yards and not in feet. So change the 18 feet into yards which will be 6 yards and 6÷1/2 will give you 12 bow ties
