3 hours and 27 minutes

Take 500/144.879 and you get 3.45.  But .45 is out of 100 and we need it out of 60

So [tex] \frac{x}{60} = \frac{45}{100} [/tex]
Cross multiply: 100x=2700
Divide: x=27

So you have 3 hours and 27 minutes

Hope that helps.
