RT = RS + ST

RT = 3x

RS = 3x - 5

ST = 3x - 1

3x = (3x - 5) + (3x - 1)

3x = 3x - 5 + 3x - 1

3x - 3x - 3x = -5 - 1

-3x = -6

x = -6/-3

x = 2

Find the value of RT

RT = 3(2)

RT = 6
