x=27. you find this out by first adding seven to each side so it becomes 2/3 x = 11+7 then you simplify that to 2/3x = 18. Then you multiply each side by the reciprocal of 2/3 so 3/2. This leaves x by itself. 18(3/2) is 27 so x = 27
