What is the slope of the line that has an x-intercept at (4.0) and a y-intercept at (0.-12)? step by step ?

We can use the formula y2-y1/x2-x1 to figure out the slope. x1 is 4, x2 is 0, 0 is y1, and -12 is y2. -12-0/0-4 is -12/-4 which is 3. The slope is 3.
