Area of rectangle = w × h

Area of simicircle = Area of circle / 2 = [tex]\frac{\pi r^{2} }{2}[/tex]

= [tex]\frac{(3.14)(5^{2} )}{2}[/tex]

= 39.25

so the Area of figure is 140 - 39.25 = 100.75 ≈ 110
