26= 7(g-9)+12
26-12 = 7(g-9)+12-12
14=7(g-9)
14/7 = 7(g-9)/7
2 = g-9
2+9 = g-9+9
11= g
Check:
26 = 7((11)-9)+12
26 = 7(2)+12
26 = 14+12
26 = 26

Distribute the 7 to get 7g-63+12=26 then combine like terms to get 7g-51=26 then add 51 on both sides to get 7g=77 then divide by 7 to get g=11
