How do you think the Crusades affected Muslim attitudes toward the Christian West?

It made the Muslims have some sort of anger and resentment against the Christian West. The point of the Crusades was to take back Jerusalem, the “Holy Land” that was sacred to both Christians and Muslims. Because of what happened, the Muslims were upset because of the Christians trying to gain control over Jerusalem again.
