Step 1. Since 8 x 8 = 64, The square root of 64 is 8.
[tex] v^{2} =-8[/tex]

Step 2. Take the square root of both sides.

[tex]v= + \sqrt{-8} [/tex]

Step 3.
Simplify [tex] \sqrt{-8} [/tex] to [tex]( \sqrt{8j}) [/tex]

[tex]v = + \sqrt{8j} [/tex]

Step 4. Simplify square root

[tex]v=+2 \sqrt{2j} [/tex]
