What defense do Japanese honeybees have that European honeybees don’t?

Answer:

they can kill hornets

Explanation:

unlike the european honey bee they are able to kill hornets intruding there hive by balling up the hornet (basicly all the bees pretty much swarm the hornet) due to the balls temperature inside which is 117°F the heat will kill off the hornet.
