Answer: [tex]x=-3[/tex]

Add 3x to both sides

[tex]2x+15+3x=-3x+3x\\5x+15=0[/tex]

Subtract 15 from both sides

[tex]5x+15-15=0-15\\5x=-15[/tex]

Divide both sides by 5

[tex]5x/5=-15/5\\x=-3[/tex]

Answer:

x = -3

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 15 = -3x     (try to move the x-terms to one side, add 3x to both sides)

2x + 15 + 3x = 0

5x + 15 = 0 (subtract 15 from both sides)

5x = 0 - 15

5x = -15    (divide both sides by 5)

x = -15 ÷ 5

x = -3

Hope this helps!
