The radius of the area of the circular area the cell phone tower services is: 20 miles.

What is the Area of a Circle?

Area = πr² [r = radius of the circle].

The area it services is circular which is, 1,256 square miles. Therefore:

πr² = 1,256

Find r:

(3.14)r² = 1,256

r² = 1,256/3.14

r² = 400

Square both sides

r = 20 miles.
