Answer: A = - 0.64

Divide each term in  

6 ( a + 3.9 )  =  19.56  by  6

6 ( a + 3.9 )/ 6  =  19.56/ 6

Cancel the common factor of  6

a  +  3.9  =  19.56 /6  Divide  19.56  by  6 ,  a + 3.9  =  3.26
