Can anyone please explain and solve this Simplify 4^2 • 4^8?

4²+4⁸=(2²)²+(2²)8

=2⁴+2⁸

=16+256

=272

it's from the properties of indices

First you would need to have the same bases (the number that is getting increased/decreased). Since they are both 4, you don't have to do anything to them. Now, you combine bases. When multiplying, you add the bases. So 2 plus 8 is ten. So, your answer is 4^10, or 1,048,576.
