Saber is to know or to taste ( to have knowledge of or find out )

Conocer is to know or to meet ( to be acquainted with or to see for the first time )

The difference between saber and conocer  Both verbs mean "to know," they are used differently. Saber is for when a fact is known, for example, Yo se que pasa means "I know what's going on on"Conocer is more personal and has do with meeting people.
