5FU, or Fluorouracil, is used to treat patients with any sorts of cancer. What the treatment does is attack the lesions in your body (lesions are wounds, ulcers, abscess, or tumors). When a patient uses this treatment, they expect it to get rid of the wounds, ulcers, abscess, or tumors in their body. If the treatment is successful, the patient would have to wait from weeks to months until the lesion heals.
