Hey there, divide 40 by 100 and that would equal 0.4, So, 40/100 as a decimal is 0.4

To solve this is pretty simple - To put this into a decimal, we divide the numerator by the denominator. But first, I like to simplify this down to its simplest form.


It would be 4/10.


4 ÷ 10 = 0.4


There's your decimal answer! 0.4!


If you wanted to make this into a fraction, however, you would multiply your decimal by 100 to make 40%.
