the numbers are 38 and 19

if the smaller number is x then the larger number is x + 19, so we have the equation:-

x + x + 19 = 57

2x = 57 - 19 = 38

x = 19 and larger = 19+19 = 38

So the 2 numbers are  19 and 38  answer
