To perform the operation indicated in x²(x - 2) + x(x - 2)², we have to factor. The terms we see common in each of these terms is x(x - 2). Now we need to factor it out. The expression becomes:

[x(x-2)][(x)+(x-2)] The first bracket has the term factored out and the second bracket has the remainder from each term.

Simplifying this further gives us our answer of:

x(x-2)(2x-2)
