The amount of matter present in an object is said to be its mass. The standard SI unit of mass is kg that is a kilogram.

The other units are (g) grams, ton (t), atomic mass unit (u) etc. which are interconvertible.

The name of the mass that is [tex] 10^{-6} [/tex] smaller than a gram is microgram. As, [tex] 1 \mu g = 10^{-6} g [/tex].
