The correct answer is saying "no comment" is an indication that you may be hiding something.
Even though you might not be hiding anything, if you say 'no comment' when a reporter asks you something, it might seem as though you are indeed hiding something that you don't want the reporter and the audience to know. It's better to give some kind of an answer to appease them and save yourself from further grilling.
