On April 2015, NAACP* President & CEO: Cornell William Brooksstood stood in solidarity with Baltimore residents and assembled peacefully to demand justice for the tragic and senseless death of Freddie Gray.

In his statement, he said that protests don’t need to be violent to be powerful., that moral outrage can be manifested into peaceful protests for a meaningful change.
