If 5 oranges cost $2 you can divide 2 by 5 to get the cost of each individual orange and then you must multiply that by 24 to get the total cost.

so if 5 oranges cost 2 dollars, then 10 cost 4, 15 cost 6, 20 cost 8,
and 25 cost 10. We need 24, so now we need to find out the cost for 24 oranges. 
Looking at how much they go up by, we can see that each time it goes up by about 0.5
So your final answer would be: 2 dozen oranges cost $9.50
